Pair of Antique Vessels

A rare 'near pair' of antique Turkish terracotta storage vessels, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. These handmade pots were traditionally used for storing water and are crafted in a classic amphora form with two looped handles and wide shoulders tapering to narrow bases.

Both pots feature the original pale terracotta body with subtle ring tooling marks and a timeworn surface, showing natural weathering and traces of historic use. The upper rims have been historically repaired in a light grey cement, adding to their authenticity and charm. While not identical, they are beautifully balanced in proportion and tone — very hard to find as a true near pair.
